Jim McElwain says no separation in #Gators QB race, but Tuesday two-a-day will be key. Mac on #Gators secondary. “We obviously had some pretty decent defenses in one of the places [Alabama] I was at. It compares to that”
On QBs: Don’t buy McElwain saying no QB separation. Grier well ahead in everything we’ve seen (15 periods). Grier separates himself from Harris in ability to hit ALL the throws. Harris struggling with out route, some double moves downfield. Don’t expect #Gators to name QB starter till classes start (August 24) (can’t have 1 transfer). Do expect before 1st game. Don’t see 2-QB shenanigans.
Haven’t seen much of #Gators RBs yet, but Kelvin Taylor looks step quicker and maybe leaner. Expecting Jordan Scarlett to get major carries.
Cronkrite doesn’t quite have the physical tools Scarlett does, but he’s been impressive as a pass-catcher.
Defensively, very impressed so far by Caleb Brantley (all over the place) and Daniel McMillian (super quick to the ball).
So far, left side of #Gators O-line looks good to me (Halter, Thurman). Right side has been a bit of a mess at times (Riles, Sharpe).
